The next most important news will probably be from Kentucky. Ere this there would, an all probability, have been some very serious collisions but for the rise in the waters, which obstructed marches and washed away Buell's pontoons. The enemy has aeimmense force there; but ours is well prepared to meet it. General A. Sidney Johnston is an officer of great resources and great energy. Our cause in Kentucky will be nobly maintained. The madness of the abolitionists in Washington has helped us considerably in that State, and will likely very much diminish the enlistments among Union men there to war on the South.
