Covington and Ohio Railroad.

The completion of this road westwardly is important to the interests of the State and the Confederacy. The subject is now under confederation in the General Assembly, and the plan proposed is to negotiate with the General Government for the funds necessary to carry on the improvement. The money is not asked for as an appropriation, but as an advance payment of the debt due the Commonwealth, to be applied to a work of undoubted advantage to both.
