A gallant youth.

We yesterday had an interview with young Schriever, mentioned in this paper as having been in the battle of Shiloh. He showed us his discharge, at the bottom of which his Major writes with his own hand a certificate that during the whole fight he kept in advance of his company, and behaved most gallantly throughout. He received a Minie bullet in his shoulder, but was so eagerly engaged in the fight that he did not feel it until he lay down at night. He says he will go to the wars again as soon as his shoulder gets well. He is only seventeen, and a very handsome boy. He is a credit to his State and his friends.
