A New idea.

--A new canal steamer has appeared on the New York canals. It is what is called a twin boat, with double rudder. Two canal boats are put side by side, leaving a water space in the centre of six and a half feet; the wheel is in the centre of this space, and discharges the water through it, thereby causing but slight commotion, and doing no injury to the banks of the canal. By the aid of a double rudder, the steersman has perfect and easy control of the vessel.
