Yankees Threatening the Virginia and Tennessee Railroad.

The Lynchburg Republican mentions a rumor that a large body of Yankees were advancing from Kananhs, with the supposed intention of cutting the Virginia and Tennessee Railroad at or near the New river bridge. The report came through the Conductor of the Eastern bound train on Sunday, who was advised of the intended raid from the military authorities at the Narrows, who directed him to stop his train at Dublin depot until further informed. The report is discredited in the section of country said in he threatened.
