Recognition of a British Consul.

The Sentinel, of yesterday, under the head of "official," has the following:

H. Pinckney Walker, Esq, Her Britannic Majesty's Vice-Consul at the port of Charleston, having submitted to the Secretary of State satisfactory evidence of his appointment as acting Consul of Her Majesty for the States of North and South Carolina, in recognized as such by the Government of the Confederate States.
