Charged with stealing Clothing.

--Jennett. Lapinsky was on Saturday arraigned before the Mayor charged with stealing from Mrs. Lavinia Whitlock, of Henrico county, one brown merino dress, one blue check dress, one flowered silk do., one silk berege do., one cotton and worsted do., one man's shawl and one green crape shawl, all valued (in good times) at $200. The evidence in this case proved that some of the articles enumerated were found upon the premises of Mrs. Lapinsky, and the supposition was that, as a part were traced to her house, the whole of them went the same way. For the defence two witnesses testified to having seen the accused purchase said articles of wearing apparel from another woman whose name they did not remember. At the conclusion of the testimony the Mayor announced that he should send Mrs. Lapinsky on to the November term of the Hustings Court, on the charge of larceny, and would admit her to ball.
