City Poultry.

--A barrel of geese offered in the First Market yesterday morning by John Teirn, was seized by the Clerk, and confiscated by the Mayor, because the seller lived within ten miles of Richmond, and had neither "raised, produced nor caught" the stock offered. Teirn stated that the geese had been sent to him for sale by his sister, who resides in Louisa county; but that fact brought them within the reach of the ordinance, and made the birds liable so confiscation, and Teirn to a fine of $20, which he promptly paid over.
