The Legislature.
The
Senate had another short session yesterday.
A bill was introduced to incorporate the
Virginia Porcelain and Earthenware company in
Augusta county.
A resolution, remonstrating against the passage by the Confederate Congress of an act conscripting all persons between the ages of 16 and 55 years, and recommending our representatives in Congress to use their efforts against the passage of such a law, was properly referred.
Adjourned.
In the
House a bill was reported for the extension of the jurisdiction of the corporation of
Danville.
A resolution of inquiry was adopted for directing suitable hospital accommodations at
Staunton, in lieu of the deaf and dumb and blind institution now occupied.
The bill for the enrollment of the
State forces was next called up, extensively discussed, and during the consideration of the subject the
House adjourned.
