Puritan Blasphemy.

--At a war meeting in Francisco, Rev. Thos. Starr King, for whom a $100,000 church has been built, used the following blasphemous language, which well illustrates the religious character of the Puritan race:

Among the many speakers of the evening the Rev. Thomas Starr King, who, alluding to the work of the Sanitary Association of the Pacific, said:--‘"We have sent $700,000 in gold to succor our soldiers in the East--$485,000 rather, through the blessed influence of Providence and Saint Chase, and these two were a team when harnessed together"’
