A duel Prevented.

--Yesterday morning complaint was lodged before the Mayor that a duel was expected to be fought near this city between Henry Richardson and Edward A. Walters, both residents of this city. Immediately officers Seal and Jenkins were posted off with directions to proceed in search of them and bring them, before His Honor. Suspecting the neighborhood in which the meeting was to take place, the policemen double quicked it all the way, and on arriving at Buchman's found the combatants standing close together as if about beginning the work. Each was armed with a brace of pistols and a side. They were taken in custody and carried before the Mayor, who required them to give bonds to keep the peace in the sum of . The difficulty is said to have originated in some misunderstanding relative to a lady.
