--It has been reported for some days that the larger portion of the enemy's cavalry had gone after Forrest, which report is now confirmed.
They were practicing again at Ringgold this afternoon with artillery.
The report that Lindley, of the 53d Ala., recently hung at Tunnel Hill, was a chaplain is erroneous.
He was a minister, though a private in that regiment.
