[7] When Anaxibius had coasted along to Parium, he sent to Pharnabazus, according to the terms of their agreement.1 As soon as Pharnabazus learned, however, that Aristarchus had come to Byzantium as governor and that Anaxibius was no longer admiral, he paid no heed to Anaxibius, but set about making the same arrangement with Aristarchus in regard to Cyrus' army as he had had with Anaxibius.
