2. of persons, wearing such a garment, εὐ. τις a grandee, Ph.2.346 (pl.), Plu.2.57a, cf. Luc.Somn. 16, Demon.15, Alciphr.3.42.
3. metaph., pompous, “διηγήματα” Plu.2.547e; but εὐ. λόγοι equivocal, lascivious stories, Ath.10.453a.
