These regiments were, so far as official reports seem to show, the Twenty-ninth, Lieut.-Col. B. S. Proffitt; the Thirty-ninth, Col. D. Coleman; the Fifty-eighth, Maj. T. F. Dula, and the Sixtieth, Col. J. B. Palmer .
For awhile Colonel Palmer was in command of Reynolds' brigade.
