A bill to authorize the sale of certain slaves now in the penitentiary. A bill vacating the commissions of officers of the line of the militia. A bill for the protection of sheep, and to increase the growth of wool. Several resolutions of inquiry were adopted. Adjourned. In the House the bill from the Senate for the relief of soldiers' families within the lines of the enemy was received, and the amendment of that body having been agreed to, was passed. The joint order of the day for the election of State officers was executed, with the exception of that portion relating to Public Printer, which was postponed until the 18th instant.
