From the Southern Capital. Montgomery, March 14. --In Congress today a bill was introduced to establish an Admiralty Court in Mississippi, the Judge to reside at Vicksburg. A report has been received here (probably unfounded) that five war vessels left New York Tuesday night, armed, carrying a large number of marines and provisions for the Southern forts. It aused anxiety, as it came from a reliable source.
Later from Havana. New York, March 14. --The steamer De Soto has arrived from Havana, with dates to the 9th inst. Sugars were more active; No. 12's were held at 8½; stock in port was 160,000 boxes. Molasses was nominal. Freights were plenty, and vessels were wanted at previous rates. Exchange on London 9½a10½; Northern cities 1a3. The money market rather easier
Fire. Batavia, N. Y. March 14. --A fire broke out last evening, in the livery stable belonging to R. M. Warren. The fire soon spread to the Eagle barn, which was entirely consumed.-- Quite a number of houses were burned.
New Jersey town election. Newark,March 14.--Burlington county on Tuesday elected 15 Republicans freeholders, and 3 Democrats.
