Fight at Coldwater, Miss. Jackson, April 20. --Gen. Chaimers's command has gallantly 4,000 Yankee cavalry, artillery, and infantry, at Coldwater. The enemy retreated in great bests and confurion, Gen. Chelmers pursuing energetically. The roads are very heavy. Our men behaved well though many were under fire for the first time. The enemy's loss is unknown. Ours is one killed, and six wounded.--[Coldwater is in the northwest county of Mississippi]
Advance of Yankee cavalry on Pontotoc, Okalona, April 20. --A sqardron of Abolition cavalry, estimated at 1,500, were advancing on Pontotoc, yesterday. The advance guard reported there last night. Our forces are concentrating to resist them. An engagement is contain to-day unless the enemy retired.
