--Mrs. Joseph W. Phillips, a passenger on board the steamer Acorn, on a trip from Province town, Mass., to Boston, last August, fell through a hatchway, and was very severely injured.
Her husband entered suit against the company for damages, and the matter was left to referees, who awarded $2,000 damages, and their award has since been confirmed by the Superior Court.
