Runaway--$50 reward --From my residence, on Franklin st. on Friday night, 19th November, my servant girl, Catherine. From West Tennessee. --Affairs in Memphis--From the Argut, of the 29th, we learn that the Yankee Generals are enforcing the recent order of Hariburt cutting off trade with the country and drafting all the able bodied citizens found in West Tennessee capable of military duty. In an order dated Nov. 19th, Gen. Veltch orders all citizens Hable to military duty in the district of Memphis to report to the enrolling officer within ten days.--"Loyal" citizens are urged to form companies. They will be furnished with arms and equipments upon bond for the safekeeping of the same, and will be subject to the order of the commanding officer of the district, at all times, for "home defence." Those who fall to volunteer will be impressed to fill up existing regiments and batteries. Enrolling offices are opened in all the waids, and those refusing to comply with these orders will subject themselves to arrest and impressment into the service.

incoln makes a draft for five hundred thousand men, the five hundred thousand are all forthcoming, the experience of Lincoln's whole first term goes for nothing. It is as unwise to overrate as to underrate an enemy, and therefore we publish some facts, from Federal official sources, which reduce to their proper dimensions the exaggerated ideas of the Federal military strength. In the fall of 1863, the Emperor of the Yankees ordered a conscription of three hundred thousand men. On the 19th of November of that year, General Fry made a report to the United States Secretary of War that the conscription brought only one of the conscripted men into the army for every nineteen drawn! According to General Fry's report, for every one hundred men wanted, one hundred and fifty were drawn, in order to make sure of the hundred. General Fry says that of those drawn eighty per cent. reported; that is, one hundred and twenty reported for every one hundred and fifty drawn. Of those reporting,
