A single passage from the second article shows that even at that early age he had acquired the vigor of characterization and power of invective which were afterwards to be used against domestic tyranny: The Holy Alliance, from its first formation, has met N. P. Herald, May 2, 1823. throughout Europe and America with that general burst of indignation which it justly merits.
