The fight at Fairfax Court-House. The following communication is from the pen of a Northern Lady, the wife of a Virginian, and may be regarded as at least impartial testimony: Orange C. H.,June 8th, 1861. To the Editors of the Dispatch:--In your yesterday's paper there is an account of the skirmish at Fairfax Court-House, purporting to come from the commanding officer, Lieut. Tompkins, which is so entirely devoid of even the semblance of truth, that I cannot resist the impulse of sending you a short notice of the affair, hoping that it may give satisfaction to those of our own party who have not been fortunate enough to hear from a reliable source, and also show what detestable liars our enemies must be. I was so near the scene of action that I could hear much that was said, and the bullets as they went whizzing through the trees in all directions. The particulars were given me afterwards by a gentleman, a most reliable person, though I could see much myself.

Thursday morning last a rumor reached our little village that 11,000 Ohio troops were marching through Western Virginia; that they had burned Lewisburg and the White Sulphur Springs the evening before, and were then marching upon Covington.
