Mr. Peterkin, Mr. Anderson, of Botetourt from the Committee on Military Affairs, offered a resolution that the Senators from Virginia in the Confederate Congress be instructed, and the members of the House of Representatives from Virginia be requested, to increase the pay of non-commissioned officers and privates in the service four dollars per month, which was adopted. On motion of Mr. Prince, the bill to constitute a corps to more effectually collect the arms of the State and Confederate States not in actual service, was taken up. Mr. Bass moved to lay the bill on the table in order to prepare a rider, which was adopted.
