We have received the New York Herald Philadelphia, Inquirer, and Baltimore American, of the 26th February, from which we extract a variety of Northern intelligence: Suspension of the Press and telegraph. The following order has just been promulgated by the Lincoln Government: War Department.Washington city, D. C., Feb. 25, 1862. Ordered. First--On and after the twenty-sixth day of February, instant, the President, by virtue of the act of Congress, takes military possession of all the telegraph lines in the United States. Second--All telegraphic communications in regard to military operations not expressly authorized by the War Department, the General Commanding, or the Generals Commanding in the field, in the several Departments, are absolutely forbidden.
