an enactment, having made doubtful the tenure of the Society of the room which it occupied in the Capitol, the Secretary, through kindly furtherance of the Honorables Lyon G. Tyler and William Lovestein of the House of Delegates and of the Senate of Virginia, respectively, secured the passage of the following, February 23, 1888: Chapter 202—Joint resolution Respecting the quarters of the Southern Historical Society. 1. Resolved (the Senate concurring), That the resolution of the 23d March, 1887, in relation to the room occupied by the Southern Historial Society in the Capitol building, be, and the same is hereby, repealed, and that the said room referred to in said resolution be set aside for the use of the said Southern Historical Society, subject to the control of the General Assembly at any time hereafter. 2.
