Although the route to the capital is infested by guerillas, the escort reached their destination without molestation. The body having been embalmed in Washington, was brought to this city on Wednesday night, and on its arrival yesterday was received at the Courtlandt street depot by two companies of regulars from Governor's Island, who escorted the remains to Adams & Co's Express Buildings in Broadway, and then returned to their barracks.
