Some of the prisoners confined in Camp Morton State of Indiana, attempted to take advantage of a thunderstorm, a few evenings since, to make their escape. About twenty-five of them raised the fence posts in the northeast corner of the camp near the road, by means of levers under the forum boards, and then rushed violently in a body against the fence, causing two or three panels to fall to the ground. Through the door thus made they stam
