battalion parade. On Friday, prior to the enlargement of those arrested, one of them, Mr. C. H. Anderson, sued out by A. J. Crane, his attorney, a writ of habeas corpus, directed to Hon. Wm. H. L) was set for the hearing of the case. The petition for a habeas corpus, on the part of C. H. Anderson, represents that he is a citizen of Richmond, and of the State of Virginia; that he is underense, who was accepted, as he is prepared to show, and that, therefore, he is an exempt. Mr. Anderson adds: "Notwithstanding this, your petitioner was willing and consented to perform volunhat right, and law, and justice, may prevail, and your petitioner will ever pray, &c. "C. H.
