and Dornipick Geffney were arrested by the police yesterday, and caged on the charge of assaulting Tabdy Gibson and attempting to rob him, and Charles, slave of J. R. Anderson, for having in his possession a lot of iron reds, supposed to have been stolen; also, Asa Deen and John Smith, for firing their muskets off on Main, near 18th street, and violently resisting the officers who made the arrest.
Fifty dollars reward. --The above reward will be paid for the delivery to me, at Little Dover, Goochland county, of my servant, Sample, who ran away on the 24th day of March. He is a bright mulatto, 19 years old, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high; hair very thick and worn long. On his left jaw, and side of his neck, and left arm, are deep scars the result of a severe burn, and his left thumb is also contracted from the same burn. He is a very capable servant.
