There is nobody in Virginia, who does not recollect the noise, not made by, but made about, the guns of Dr. Junius Archer three weeks Dr. Junius Archer three weeks ago. They were manufactured at Bellona, for the late United States, but the Legislature took the matter up, and would not permit them to be carried to Old Point Comfort, where they might, in all probability have been used against us. Dr. Archer has had them brought down here, and they are now lying at the Armory on the basin, fifty in number, twenty-four, forty-two and sixty-eight pounders, and a not alter them.
His guns continued to be famous, as long as he lived, and under his grandson, Dr. Archer, Old Bellona, now truly an aged establishment, retains every bit of its reputation, and has ev Old Bellona.
She will make a noise in this war, most certainly, especially as her proprietor (Dr. Archer) is getting up a company of Chesterfield boys, (Artillery, of course.) The Dr. has all the qua
