Notice. --I am informed that my man, John, who sometimes calls himself Jno Baker, or Jno Ligon, at others calls himself Joe, was taken up recently from the army near Fredericksburg, where he was employed as a cook, and sent to some of the public of private jails in the city of Richmond. Any information furnished me in the county of Powhatan, Jefferson Post Office, or to me at the American Hotel, No. 44, until Friday at 12 o'clock, will be liberally rewarded. John is 23 years old, about 5 feet 2 or 3 inches high, black, has a scar on his right or left arm occasioned by a barn. He left my residence in July last, and I presume he has been with the army until he was apprehended. The information I have lends utmost to a certainty that he is now in the city of Richmond in jail.
