The Fifteenth regiment, composed of companies from this city and neighborhood, was in the severe battle of the 1st instant. The casulties are as follows: Col. Thos. P. August, wounded, Major John Stewart Walker, killed. Company A--Corporal J. B. Dodd, severaly wounded by the bursting of shell, Privates H. Schwalmeyer and George W. Brooke, wounded slightly. Company B--Private Wm. M. Marshall, slightly. Company D--Privates August Harris and Benj. Faudre, slightly. Company E--Private Thomas J. Barnett, severely. Company H--Corporal Wm. H. Dean and Wm. H. Holmes, slightly. Capture of Yankee Barbarians. Four Yankees captured a Confederate soldier on Thursday and deliberately-- hunged him to a tree, having pinned upon his back a card inscribed, "We hang all the rebels we catch."
