commission adjourned to Monday. The United States sloop-of-war San Jacinto was wrecked on the morning of the 1st instant off No Name Key, on the Bahama Banks. No lives were lost, and most of the stores of the vessel were saved. Mr. Archibald Baxter, of New York, goes to Savannah in behalf of the Chamber of Commerce and Produce Exchange, in charge of the contributions made through the Executive Relief Committee of each institution for the relief of the suffering poor of Savannah. Mr.Mr. Baxter is to supervise the distribution of the food, etc., thus donated. The Baltimore American's Beaufort correspondence, under date of the 6th instant, says: "Nine deserters came off from Fort Fisher a few days since, and were picked up by one of the blockading vessels.
