Washington, Dec. 23. --The following has been received at Headquarters: Headq's Army of the Potomac, December 23, 1862. To Major-General H. W. Halleck, General in Chief: In my report to you of the 19th inst. the number of wounded was stated at about 9,000, and the number receiving hospital treatment at 1,680. Both of these are wrong.
