Cabinet Matters. Hon. Thomas Bragg, of North Carolina, has been appointed Attorney General of the Confederate States, in place of Mr. Benjamin, upon whom the appointment of Secretary of War was lately conferred. He enters upon the duties of his office at once. This intelligence is satisfactory in every respect. Mr. Benjamin, as Acting Secretary, has proved his eminent qualifications for this responsible post; and Mr. Bragg's reputation as a jurist and character as a good and patriotic the Confederate States, in place of Mr. Benjamin, upon whom the appointment of Secretary of War was lately conferred. He enters upon the duties of his office at once. This intelligence is satisfactory in every respect. Mr. Benjamin, as Acting Secretary, has proved his eminent qualifications for this responsible post; and Mr. Bragg's reputation as a jurist and character as a good and patriotic citizen justify us in saying that he is a valuable accession to the list of Cabinet appointments.
