Lost his Bacon.
--John W. Butcher, a free negro, appeared before the Mayor on Saturday to answer the charge of stealing $28 worth of bacon from Thomas W. Brockenbrough, and one ham from Nelson Robinson.
On the latter charge the Mayor ordered the prisoner to be punished and on the first charge to answer before the Hustings Court for grand larceny.
