Fatal accident on the Virginia and Tennessee Railroad.
--On Saturday last, one of the trains on the Virginia and Tennessee Railroad, which was loaded with troops, ran off the track near Marion, in Smythe county, resulting in the killing and wounding of several of the volunteers.
The following is a list of the casualties: Of the Palmetto Guards, A. J. Bond was killed; F. Winckle and S. Burton were dangerously injured; and G. W. Prewitt and A. J. Griffith were slightly injured.
Of the Georgia volunteers, Jim Hestelile, William Chisholm and S. B. Stowers were slightly injured.--Lynchburg Rep.
