Cunning Thief. --A negro fellow called Burwell, in the employ of A. Lybrock, was captured on the street at an early hour yesterday morning, by Mr. Page, of the night watch, under suspicious circumstances. The officer seeing the fellow walking away from a bag and bundle on his approach, arrested him and took him back, when he discovered a quantity of glass and glue, which the negro professed to know nothing of. Finding that the officer was about to take him to the cage Burwell ran off, but was afterwards recaptured. The Mayor ordered him to be punished.
