At a called communication of Day Lodge, No. 68, held in the Masons' Hell, Louisa C. H., on the 12th October, A. L. 5,861, A. D. 1861, the following preamble and resolutions were unanimously adopted: Whereas, we have received the sad intelligence that our worthy and much- esteemed brother, James O. Carroll, Junior Warden of this Lodge, died on the 10th October, A. L. 5861, A. D. 1861: Therefore. Resolved, That in the death of brother Carroll, the Masonic fraternity has lost one of its ornaments; this Lodge one of its most zealous members, and this community one of its most valued and useful citizens.
