Fessenden, John (otherwise written Fesenden, Fessinden, Fessington, Fezington, Fiziden, Fisenden, Fissenden, Fisheriden, Fishington, Phesenden, and Phesington), was here as early as 1638, and res. at the southerly corner of Winthrop and Eliot streets; which estate he sold in 1639, and purchased a house and land on the westerly side of Eliot Street south of Mt.
