--By an advertisement in our issue of to-day, it will be seen that Capt. Frank Clopton, assisted by C. S. Maurice, is raising a company to be attached to Major F. J. Boggs's Light Artillery Battalion.
Strong inducements are offered by them to persons wishing to join this beautiful arm of the service.
Captain Clopton was for several years commander of the Fayette Artillery, of this city, is a well-drilled officer, and a gentleman of great moral worth.
