Hustings Court. --In this Court yesterday A. Judson Crane, Esq., acted as prosecuting attorney, in place of Little on Tazewell, Esq., whose attention was occupied in another Court. The following cases were disposed of: Patrick Costilla, charged with garroting and robbing Peter D. Bernard, in the month of February last, was tried, found guilty, and sent to the penitentiary for four years. In the cases of John M. Friend, charged with stealing $1,200 from John W. Conner and John Shinn, charged with entering a warehouse on the Dock with an alleged intent to steal, nolle prosequi were entered. In the first case this action was taken on account of the death of the principal witness, and in the latter because of inability to procure witnesses.
