--Moses and Carter Richardson, two slaves, charged with assaulting and beating Andrew J. Cosby, made their appearance before the Mayor last Saturday; but because of the absence of witnesses, the examination was postponed until to-day.

Bloody fight.
--Two slaves, Moses and Carter Richardson, were before the Mayor yesterday, to answer the charge of assaulting and beating Andrew J. Cosby, a free negro, and after a hearing, were sentenced to be punished.
The owner of Moses took an appeal from the Mayor's decision to the Hustings Court.
