Arrests by the Civil Police. --The following arrests were accomplished by the civil police on Saturday: Thomas Hollins, for attempting to pass a counterfeit $20 Confederate Treasury note, and Jerry, slave of Massena Gary, for throwing stones at Mr. Peter G. Cosby's carriage. Several other parties, caged for such offences as drunkenness, trespass, &c., were turned out.
Mayor's Court, yesterday. --Thomas Hollins, a white lad, was held to bail in $200 for his appearance to answer the charge of attempting to pass a bogus $20 Confederate note on A B Clarke, hardware merchant, corner of 17th and Main streets.--Jerry, a slave, was ordered 25 lashes for throwing stones at the carriage of M. Peter G. Cosby on Broad street.--Joseph W. Morgan, arrested by Lieut Carter for trespassing on the premises of Mr. Henry McGhee, was admonished and let off.
