Frivolous complaint. --James E. Armour made his appearance before the Mayor's Court yesterday, to answer the charge of uttering sundry threats of a belligerent nature, the due execration of which on his part would have involved Patrick S. E. Curry and his wife in the distressing attitude of used up individuals. A thorough sifting of the merits of the case by the Head of Police, however, led to the conclusion on his part that the danger to be apprehended by Curry and his wife from Armour e charge of uttering sundry threats of a belligerent nature, the due execration of which on his part would have involved Patrick S. E. Curry and his wife in the distressing attitude of used up individuals. A thorough sifting of the merits of the case by the Head of Police, however, led to the conclusion on his part that the danger to be apprehended by Curry and his wife from Armour was not of such a nature as to require the interposition of the law. The defendant was discharged from custody.
