Calvin is of dark brown complexion, about 22 years of age, about 5 feet 9 inches high, and ruptured. He wears a trues in consequence of the rupture. No other marks remembered. Robbery and Attempted murder. --A few nights since two white men, named Albert Kirby, a shoemaker in the employ of the Confederate States, and Joseph Young, a pilot on the Confederate steamboat Hampton, made an assault upon two negroes, named John Lawrence, free, and Oliver, a slave, with the intent of robbery and murder. After being knocked down and beaten till it was thought life was extinct, they proceeded to rifle their pockets of everything they contained. The criminals were yesterday arrested by officers Davis and Granger and locked up for safekeeping in the lower station-house.

Runaway --$100 reward will be paid for the delivery to S N Davis & Co of a negro boy named John. He is about 18 years old gingerbread color. Robert Spriggs, a free negro, was ordered 25 lashes for stealing a thousand dollars' worth of paper from the Confederate States. His counsel took an appeal to the Hustings Court. Grandison, slave of Thos. Bass, but hired by Benjamin F. Berry, was ordered to be whipped for receiving the above-mentioned paper; and Edward, slave of Solomon Davis, and William, slave of E. J. Hudson, held under the same charge, were dismissed. Mrs. Flutina Myers was bound over to keep the peace in the sum of $100 for assaulting and beating with a broomstick Henrietta Nockman, a girl of fourteen. Benjamin H. Phillips, charged with obtaining money under false pretences from Michael Smith, was remanded to the custody of the military authorities, there being no person present to make a charge against him, and no evidence of any sort to autho
