1st That the town contains 202 families or house holders and that the law requires that each town that contains that number of families or householders shall be provided with schoolmasters for such term of time as shall be equivalent to two masters a whole year. 2d that the Town now contains one hundred and fifty nine boys over the age of seven years. 3d That the town contains 158 girls over the age of 7 years and neither of the above numbers do contain the children that belong to Doctr Stearns' or Miss Hannah Swan's School, excepting those that belong to the town. 4th That the Town contains 117 children of both sexes over 4 years of age and under 7 years of age that require to be taught in the summer season by women teachers. 5th We would recommend to have the School Committee authorized to employ one school master the whole year & one other school master for the term of six months beginning about the first of November & that both said schools be kept at the school h
