en. Van-Dorn. Dr. Peters, who shot Gen. Van-Dorn at Spring Hill, has succeeded in making his wayh of May: The reported killing of Gen. Van-Dorn by Dr. Peters has been confirmed. It occurred e difficulty which resulted in the death of Van-Dorn was an interview held thirty hours previous to his life to his wife and children, although Van-Dorn had said he cared nothing for his own wife. Thay Dr. Peters was sick, and did not call on Van-Dorn until the second day, (Thursday morning, about eight,) when he demanded of Van-Dorn a compliance with his promise, which he seemed not inclined to walked up into the village.
