General Assembly of Virginia.[Extra Session.]Senate. Friday, Feb. 1, 1861. Called to order at 12 o'clock. Prayer by the Rev. J. A. Duncan, of the Broad Street Methodist Church. A communication from the House was read, announcing the passage of sundry bills. The President laid before the Senate a communication from Governor Letcher, transmitting "from his Excellency John Tyler a detailed report of his acts as Commissioner, accompanied by a copy of the correspondence between himself and the President of the United States."
