This society was formed on the 27th of June last, and has been constantly engaged in giving aid to the soldiers. I had the pleasure of seeing and talking with Mr. E. F. Christian to-day, who was wounded severely in the celebrated battle of Manassas. He fought bravely during the whole day, and was not wounded until the Federal army had been routed. He has nearly recovered, and wishes to join the Confederate army again. Dyke.
